Season kick-off Friday, 19 December 2025 Operating hours
The Madrisa Circuit starts in Klosters Dorf. From there the gondola lift to Madrisa, the new Schaffürggli chairlift and the Madrisa T-bar lift take you up to 2500m. From the Madrisa ski area you cross to the Schlappinerjoch (2203m) and then ski down to Gargellen (1'420 m, Austria). Another ascent to the St. Antönier-Joch is followed by a wonderful descent ride to St. Antönien, from where post buses and the Rhaetian Railway take you back to Klosters Dorf. In winter, the tour can be completed in one day.
Tickets can only be purchased from the ticket office on site.
There is a risk of avalanches at all times; Klosters-Madrisa Bergbahnen AG assumes no liability.
Madrisa serves as an excellent starting point for a variety of ski tours. The Rätschenjoch ski tour in Prättigau is one popular route offering magnificent views of the Silvretta and Rätikon mountains. This tour provides a variety of ascents and long descents through virgin powder or firn snow – making it perfect a perfect chocie for ski touring enthusiasts with moderate experience.
Unless featuring sufficient knowledge of the terrain and avalanche risks, we highly recommend booking a guided tour with an experienced mountain guide or ski instructor. There is always a risk of avalanches off-piste. Klosters-Madrisa Bergbahnen AG accepts no liability for any resulting risks.
From the Schaffürggli chairlift, continue on with the Madrisa lift – until you reach the yellow-marked Route No. 12, better known as Chüacalanda. Gliding over pristine slopes, carving your tracks in the finest powder snow and forgetting everything not connected to gliding over fresh deep snow for a few seconds off piste.
However, for a true freerider, safety comes first. Off the groomed slopes you are naturally exposed to alpine dangers. Be prepared and mindful of alpine dangers.
