Option 1: A leisurely walk in the mountains
From the Madrisa mountain station via Untersäss/alpine dairy to the Mässplatte viewpoint and back.

There are inviting lingering places with firepits by the waterfall between Untersäss/alpine dairy and Mässplatten.

Option 2: Varied half-day hike
Madrisa-Alp mountain station – Schlappin – Klosters Dorf

  • Highlight: fantastic panoramic view, picturesque Schlappin valley

Madrisa circuit tour

The Madrisa Circular Tour is a fascinating, cross-border hike lasting one or more days, leading from Switzerland to Austria and back. Following in the footsteps of historic mule traders and smugglers, hikers encounter impressive panoramic views and immerse themselves in the region's eventful history.

Particularly exciting for little adventurers: small rewards await young smugglers at different stops along the route. They can collect these with a special smuggler card and proudly present them at the finish point.

Prättigauer Höhenweg

This diverse alpine hike begins at the Madrisa mountain station and traverses flower-filled meadows to reach the summit of Jägglischhorn. From the top, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Rätikon mountain range and the Prättigauer Höhenweg. The descent follows gravel mountain roads and alpine paths leading to St. Antönien, Switzerland's first mountaineering village.

Barbecue sites

Explore two  barbecue sites in the Madrisa area, ideal for family outings:

  • Barbecue site in the Madrisa-Land: located directly in the Madrisa-Land, this site allows parents to keep an eye on their children while they play.
  • Barbecue site on the way to the Mässplatte: along the scenic path leading to Mässplatte, you will find another beautifully situated barbecue site.

Firewood is provided for both barbecue sites, so you can enjoy carefree hours in nature.
